On September 10, Buzzfeed.com released a video by Jen Ruggirello (whose grandparents were incarcerated during World War II), who, along with four others, including Los Angeles Japanese American activist Sean Miura, visited the Manzanar National Historic Site.
They documented their visit, their observations and what they learned in the video, A Trip To Manzanar, which will serve as an educational, enlightening video, especially for those who have not been exposed to the Japanese American Incarceration Experience.
The Manzanar Committee is extremely pleased to see these dedicated young people take the initiative to not only discover and learn about their own family’s histories, but the mission of educating others.

Excellent video. The future of The Manzanar Experience lies in the Youth of today. That some here immersed themselves in the totality of Manzanar and the messages that are on display there in the quest of their connection to their Roots. They took on their journey there so beautifully complete in all aspects.
Though I was wanting to see the restoration of the parks and pond effected by the volunteers that toiled in the Owen Valley heat and winds to expand the experience.
