The 54th Annual Manzanar Pilgrimage, the first live, in-person Pilgrimage since 2019, when the COVID-19 pandemic shut everything down, has come and gone. It was wonderful to return to Manzanar to remember those who were incarcerated there, and those who never left Manzanar, and to celebrate our community.
We’ll have photographs from professional photographers Geri Ferguson and Mark Kirchner in the coming weeks. But for now, here are some less-than-professional photos from the Pilgrimage and the 2023 Manzanar At Dusk program. Enjoy!
